President Maduro Announces Dismantling of Nazi Cell in Venezuela During His Program “Con Maduro Más+”

During his address, President Maduro reiterated the Bolivarian Government’s commitment to ensuring the country’s security. “What all Venezuelans want is peace and tranquility. If they maintain their plans for conspiracy, we will maintain our efforts to secure a prosperous future,” he declared.

In a recent broadcast of his program “Con Maduro Más+”, President Nicolás Maduro revealed the elimination of a cancerous cell linked to Nazism in the country. According to the president, this group, which admired Adolf Hitler, was dismantled as part of the fight for security and peace in Venezuela.

President Maduro described this cell as “one of the most diabolical” and assured that its capture is part of a broader effort to eradicate fascist and terrorist groups, which he claims are associated with the far right. “These violent groups were defeated on July 28 and January 10,” he stated.

The president highlighted that the operation, named “Operation Gold,” was made possible through collaboration between police intelligence and counterintelligence forces, as well as the support of popular power. “All those involved have been captured, and investigations are ongoing,” he affirmed, emphasizing that the government will not lower its guard against potential conspiracies.

The president also referenced statements by the Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, who had mentioned that only a small percentage of the information related to these terrorist groups had been revealed. President Maduro stressed that the operation is still in full development.

Additionally, he alleged that members of this cell were funded by former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. “This group received logistical support and weaponry from Bolsonaro in December 2019 to carry out an attack on a military fort near Santa Elena de Uairén,” he stated, adding that the attack resulted in deaths, injuries, and the theft of rifles.
